Gemstone Pens has spent months researching, experimenting, fabricating and testing in order to have the equipment, tooling, processes and quality control to turn rough gemstone material into quality writing instruments. Our proprietary methods provide our customers with truly unique pens.

Prior to relocating to Idaho from the Peoples Rebublik of Kalifornia most of out work was done in wood – making pens, twig pots, tea lights, tools, bowls and similar products. But Idaho is the Gem State and so our attention has turned to fabricating products out of stone. While wood is beautiful and a joy to work with, stone has an order of magnitude more variety, color, pattern and texture. There will never be enough time to explore the range of gemstone material.

Precious gems are profoundly buried in the earth and can only be extracted at the expense of great labor.
